This residence, located on the island of North Haven in Maine, was designed for a family as a vacation house. The site is a large, open field sloping down to the ocean, with spectacular views in all directions. The house is situated just below the crest of the hill, with large expanses of glass allowing unrestricted views to the east, south and west. The building stretches along an east-west axis and is composed of two wings: a bedroom wing to the north with three bedrooms, two baths, and a master bedroom, and a living wing that steps down two feet to the south, consisting of a large open space for the kitchen, dining and living areas. The living spaces open out to a large wide deck with a built-in bench that serves as a rail.
