Situated along the Hudson River in Garrison, NY, the house is a 3500 square foot, new construction single family residence. Two main volumes define the public and private programs of the project with a ribbon of translucent glass hinging the two. From the entry, one enters below a skylight. A canopy of 10' tall interior trees, the client's prized possession, further defines the entryway as the residence opens up to the waterfront view with a full wall of glazing. Above, the private volume of bedrooms dramatically cantilevers beyond the public spaces. The master bedroom suite cantilevers 17' capturing views of the Hudson River and the Bear Mountain beyond.
