Professor Toshiko Mori was honored with the Kathy and Howard J. Aibel Award at the A.R.T./New York Spring Benefit in New York City. A.R.T./New York is a service and advocacy organization for over 350 not-for-profit theaters throughout New York City, providing the Off Broadway community with support through grants, loans, and affordable office, meeting and rehearsal rental spaces. The Kathy and Howard J. Aibel Award is presented to an individual in the community that has made the New York City environment a better place for the arts and for artists. Professor Mori is the architect of A.R.T./New York's new theatre development on 53rd Street and 10th Avenue, which will provide affordable and flexible rehearsal space to the Off Broadway community for the next century.
